On Ljusterö, in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago, is now an exclusive villa for rent. The villa is the original Holmsängen Farm anno 1909, and is equally suitable for holidays with friends as for meetings, conferences and receptions. The house can accommodate 11 overnight guests or up to 20 dinner /conference guests. The house is rented on a weekly basis during the peak summer season, the rest of the year even per weekend and day.
Villa Holmsängen is located on the shore of Ramsmoraviken and has several terraces in different directions. The building is surrounded by a large garden with beautiful trees and generous lawns that invites to play and ball games. From the lawn, a path leads down to the water where there is a jetty, where you can enjoy the sun late into the evenings. Bath temperature in the bay outside is usually a few degrees higher than average. Within 5 nautical miles are four classic island restaurants: Restaurant Svarta Malin on Nässlingen, Ingmarsö Krog, Svartsö Krog and Grinda Värdshus.
The building is internally refurbished and includes 5 bedrooms and 11+4 beds. The house has two tiled bathrooms with shower, a small toilet and a modern well-equipped kitchen with large dining area. On each floor there is a living room with seview and fireplace.
There is a rowing boat and equipment for fishing and some outdoor activities in the house. Around the corner there are beautiful woods for walking and picking berries and mushrooms, the garden is filled with various kinds of fruit trees. We provide kayaks, bicycles or larger boat to your specifications. Moreover, there is an 18-hole golf course 6 km away from the house. Ramsmora Shipyard & Marina nextdoor offers sea transports and can accommodate larger boats.

Directions
With car
Take E18 north from Stockholm (towards Norrtälje), take the exit to Åkersberga /Furusund (road 276). Drive through Åkersberga, take to the right after 18 km towards Ljusterö. Take the ferry over (the ferry is free of charge, takes about 6 minutes). On Ljusterö island go on straight ahead towards Linanäs abaourt 8 km, then take to the left to Tranvik. After 2 km take to the left beside a big sign Holmsängens Gård on the left side of the road. You find Villa Holmsängen 50 m straight ahead.
With bus
Take buss 626 from undergorundstation Danderyds sjukhus to bus stop Holmsängen (line to Tranvik) that is located 100m från Villa Holmsängen. A bus stop called Lillström, with more bus lines, is located 2 km from the house.
With Waxholm- boat
Take a Waxholm boat (a ferry line in Stockholm archipelago) from Strömkajen to stop Stensviks brygga, which is located 2 km from Villa Holmsängen. You can also take a waxholmsboat to stop Linanäs on Ljusterö. Linanäs is about 6 km from the house and from there you can take a bus or a taxi. The most frequent taxi company on the island is Taxi-020, telephone number to them is +46 20 20 20 20.
