NEWLY RENOVATED HOUSE IN THE SWEDISH MOUNTAINS! The house is secluded but close to Sälens best cross-country skiing and high altitude hiking trails. If you want to go cross-country skiing in well-prepared trails of varying length (1.5 - 10.0 km) - you can put the skis on at the doorstep. From the top of the cottage area Hemfjällstangen you can take tour across the mountain (walking or skiing) - to Lindvallen / Högfjället - a beautiful tour of about 10 kilometer. On the tour you can take a breake in Mellanfjällstugan which is open the year around. Mellanfjällsstugan does not provide any service but you are welcome to light a fire in the fireplace. Hemfjällstugan and Storfjällsgraven both provide soup and hot drinks during winter season but are closed during the summer season.
For downhill skiing - take the old mountain road (Hemfjällsvägen) to Lindvallen, about 10 km from the cottage.
SPRING-SUMMER-AUTUMN - this time of the year Sälen is well worth a visit! Here are lots of different activities and excursion destinations. For example; fantastic hiking and biking trails over the mountains, canoe, indoor adventure pool, fishing (with both grayling and trout), golf and hunting.
TIPS ON EXCURSIONS: Njupeskär (Swedens highest waterfall), Stensjön (the Stone lake above Lindvallen), Beaver safari, Långtjärn, Olnispagården (where Gustav Vasa spent the night), Sälen Bike Park, picking both cloudkberries, lingonberries and blueberries.
The cottage has 5-7 beds. One bedroom with a double bed and bunk bed. Living room with sofa bed and a newly renovated kitchen, stove
with owen. fridge / freezer, micro and dishwasher.
Fireplace, TV, WC with washbasin, shower and sauna.
Access to charcoal grill and wood-fired, larger fireplace that can be fired with wood. Plenty of cast iron accessories for outdoor cooking.
For rent: weekly / short week / long weekend / according to agreement.
No smoking but animals allowed.
